Biographical / Historical
The first Albany Monthly Meeting was established in 12mo 1840, set off from Coeymans Monthly Meeting (Hicksite). It changed to an Executive Meeting (meeting quarterly) in 1894, and began to meet half-yearly in 1902. It was laid down in 1915 and its members were joined to New York Monthly Meeting. A second meeting at Albany was organized in 1942. It is currently active.
