Biographical / Historical
Chatham Preparative Meeting was reportedly established as New Britain Preparative Meeting under Hudson Monthly Meeting. It became part of Chatham Monthly Meeting on its establishment in 1819. It was laid down for the first time in 1880. In 1889, Chatham Preparative Meeting was re-established in joint session (meeting quarterly) and then laid down a second and final time after 1889.
