Biographical / Historical

Eden Monthly Meeting was established in 1814, set off from Farmington Monthly Meeting. In 1820, Concord and Hamburgh Monthly Meetings were set off from Eden. The name of Concord Monthly Meeting was changed to Collins in 1823. Collins Monthly Meeting (Hicksite) became part of Genesee Yearly Meeting on its establishment in 1834, and was laid down in 1851; members were attached to Hamburgh which changed its name its name to East Hamburgh (Hicksite) in 1852, and to Orchard Park Monthly Meeting in 1958. The Orthodox branch of Hamburgh Monthly Meeting was laid down in 1846, and its members were attached to Collins (Orthodox). Collins Monthly Meeting remains active to date.
