Biographical / Historical
Danby Preparative Meeting was founded ca. 1784, reportedly as a part of Saratoga (later Easton) Monthly Meeting. It became a part of Danby Monthly Meeting on its establishment in 1795. The Hicksite branch of Danby Preparative was discontinued in 1869, and members were attached to Granville Preparative Meeting (Hicksite). The Orthodox branch was discontinued in 1839.
