Biographical / Historical

Scipio Quarterly Meeting was established in 1825. In 1828, it divided into Orthodox and Hicksite branches. In 1847 the Orthodox branch underwent another schism as the Wilburites left. In 1936, the Orthodox branch of Scipio Quarter affiliated with the Hicksite New York Yearly Meeting as well as the Orthodox. In 1975 it united with the Farmington Quarterly Meeting to became Farmington-Scipio Regional Meeting, which body continues to the present day.
