Biographical / Historical

Ferrisburgh Preparative Meeting was established by Nine Partners Monthly Meeting in 1792, and its first business sessions were held in 1793. Two branches were formed at the time of the Separation of 1828. Ferrisburgh Preparative Meeting (Hicksite) was laid down in 1846, at the same time as the monthly meeting. The Orthodox Preparative Meeting became inactive in the early 20th century, and the meeting house was sold before 1940.
