Biographical / Historical

Macedon, then Palmyra, became a Preparative Meeting in 1819, though members already had been meeting for worship. In 1824, the name of the meeting was changed to Macedon Preparative Meeting. The Meeting split into Orthodox and Hicksite branches. The Orthodox branch was discontinued, then officially laid down 9mo 1904. The Hicksite branch was laid down in 4mo 1919 by Farmington Executive Meeting.
