Biographical / Historical

Matinecock Meeting was among the first meetings established by Quaker settlers in New York. Members of the Society of Friends met at Matinecock as early as 1671. In 1960, Westbury Monthly Meeting approved the setting off of Matinecock Preparative Meeting as Matinecock Monthly Meeting, effective 1mo 8 1961.
