Biographical / Historical

Eden Monthly Meeting was established in 1814, set off from Farmington Monthly. In 1820 Eden Monthly divided into Hamburgh and Concord Monthly Meetings. The Hicksite branch of Hamburg Monthly became a part of Genesee Yearly Meeting on its establishment in 1834. The meeting changed its name to East Hamburg Monthly Meeting in 1852. In 1906 the meeting became an Executive Meeting; it changed its name to Orchard Park Monthly Meeting in 1958, and this meeting remains active. The Orthodox branch of Hamburg Monthly was laid down in 1846, its members attached to Collins Monthly Meeting.
