Biographical / Historical

Syracuse Monthly Meeting and Syracuse Quarterly Meeting were founded as independent joint meetings in 1934. In 1935, they applied successfully for recognition in both the Orthodox and Hicksite branches of New York Yearly Meeting. The Quarterly Meeting was laid down in 1936 on the foundation of Scipio Quarterly Meeting (All Friends) to which the Monthly Meeting was transferred. Syracuse Monthly Meeting continues today under Farmington-Scipio Regional Meeting.
