Biographical / Historical

Scipio Quarterly Meeting was set off from Farmington Quarterly Meeting by New York Yearly Meeting in 1825. It was composed of Scipio Monthly Meeting, DeRuyter Monthly Meeting, and Hector Monthly Meeting. In 1834 it became part of the new Genesee Yearly Meeting. Congregational Friends separated in 1848, and it became a half-yearly meeting in 1918. Scipio Half Yearly Meeting of Friends was laid down in 1924.
