"An organization of rank and file Americans united for effectiveness in voicing their desire for peace, freedom, and independence for all mankind..for preservation of American institutions through the establishment of the security only a just peace can bring". Americans for Peace was an attempt to revive the America First Committee without the assistance of its leaders. It was essentially a one-man movement, led by Horace J. Haase.
