Biographical / Historical
Founded in 1981 as a non-partisan nuclear war education project by Dr. Roger Molander (1940-2012), the organization's Executive Director; headquartered in Washington D.C.; a non-partisan advocacy and educational group organized to provide facts on various aspects of the issue of nuclear war and to stage "awareness events" about the realities of nuclear warfare, including Ground Zero Week in April 1982, a vast protest against nuclear war in about 800 cities and towns; Ground Zero may have dissolved in 1983 or early 1984.
