League of Free Nations Association; LFNA; founded 1918; headquartered in New York City; "worked toward an international organization that, representing the people of the world, would replace the exclusive sovereign claims that led to violence with an equitable international order" (Charles Chatfield, American Peace Movement, p. 47); in 1921 its name was changed to Foreign Policy Association.
