Historical

The National Circulating Library of Students' Peace Posters (NCLSPP), was founded by Nancy J. Babb, a peace activist, relief worker, and a member of the Society of Friends. The NCLSPP had the single goal of promoting peace through the graphic arts created by young people. Located in Philadelphia, the organization sponsored peace poster contests in schools across the country and traveling exhibits of this art work. Eventually the prize-winning posters were reproduced, full color, as stamp-sized stickers sold by the sheet.
