Biographical / Historical
Founded as the National Conference on Peacemaking and Conflict Resolution (NCPCR) in 1982 to provide a forum where individuals working on and researching conflict resolution could gather to exchange ideas; promoted the use and acceptance of non-violent approaches to the resolution of conflict and the improvement of conflict resolution theory and practice; changed name in 2001 to Network of Communities for Peacemaking and Conflict Resolution.
