The National Coordinating Committee was founded in 1965 to provide coordination for the many peace groups throughout the United States. Its aim was to confront the U.S. government with united opposition to the war in Vietnam. In 1967, the NCC relinquished its role in favor of the National Mobilization Committee to End the War in Vietnam.
