Norman Thomas Fund; established in 1968 by Tom Kahn, Executive Director; Michael Harrington was Chairman; Bayard Rustin, Charles Bloomstein, Robert Gilmore, and Harry Fleischman were also founders; established to honor the memory of Norman Thomas (1884-1968); the fund would support passions of Norman Thomas: civil rights and civil liberties, peace, economic justice, and institutes on the democratic Left; headquartered in New York, NY; inactive by 1974.
