Biographical / Historical
The Pacifica Center was organized as a center for individuals and associations working for peace in the Los Angeles area, including the War Resisters' League, the Fellowship of Reconciliation, and the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom. Aware of the destructiveness of national, class, racial, and individual conflicts, the Center's activities were directed toward understanding the social requirements for a peaceful world.
