The collection includes printed correspondence, brochures, and newsclippings; it includes information about Delaware County, Pennsylvania participation, New York participation, and national and international activities. Also includes one folder on the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development, June, 1993.

Biographical / Historical
The Ribbon; also known known as Ribbon Incorporated, the Ribbon Project, and Ribbon International; began in 1982 when Justine Merritt thought to tie a Ribbon around the Pentagon in Washington, DC, USA from the theme: "What I cannot bear to think of as lost forever in a nuclear war"; on August 4, 1985 over ten miles of Ribbons encircled the Pentagon and other Washington, DC buildings. Internationally other Ribbon projects commenced in many cities including Hiroshima, New Zealand, South Africa, London, Geneva, New York, and many other places. Justine Merritt died in 2009.
