Biographical / Historical

Formed at Swarthmore College as a study group in 1957, the aim of Swarthmore Students for Disarmament was to educate members using a discussion format led by noted speakers in the fields of disarmament, peace, and the morality of nuclear war. In 1958, SSD became a chapter of SANE.
