Biographical / Historical
Founded by Vietnam war veterans in Chicago in 1966 to encourage veterans' presence at anti-war demonstrations; served as a coordinator and clearinghouse for anti-war actions by Vietnam veterans. Headquartered in Chicago, there was also a chapter in Philadelphia, Pa. May have been an outgrowth of the Ad Hoc Committee of Veterans for Peace in Vietnam which was based in New York, N.Y.
