Biographical / Historical
International Federation of League of Nations Societies; also known as International Union of League of Nations Societies; promoted the League of Nations; its general office moved from Belgium to Switzerland in 1934; had branches in various countries; periodicals were issued in French, German, Czech; it published reports on racial, linguistic, and religious minorities, school textbooks and propaganda, the instruction of adults, international labor organization, European collaboration, and disarmament. It ceased with the end of the League of Nations in 1946.
