Arrangement

This finding aid serves as a guide to the posters in the Peace Collection.

The posters are grouped into series based on the organization they were produced or commissioned by. In some cases, the posters are from multiple organizations, therefore, an organization might appear in multiple series, both independently and with additional organizations.

In many cases, the Peace Collection only has one poster from an organization. These posters are grouped into the Miscellaneous series and the organization is indicated in parentheses with the title of the poster. There are also a large number of posters for which there is no attribution. These posters are grouped into the Unknown series.

Note that many of the posters do not have official titles and the titles listed in this finding aid are transcriptions of the text on the posters.

When additional information such as artist, medium, size, and provenance are known, these details can be found in the notes for each individual poster.

Existence and Location of Copies

Many of these posters have been digitized and can be searched in the TriCollege Libraries Digital Collections.

The Soviet Poster collection can be browsed through the Digital Collections as well.
