Louise K. Clement Photographs

 Collection
Identifier: SFHL-PA-061

Scope and Contents

The photographs in this collection were transferred from an RG5 file on Louise K. Clement Papers. This collection contains both loose photogrpahs and bound albums of mounted black and white photographs. The collection contains a variety of photgraphs, from loose black and white prints to mounted ones from from the earlier years of the 1910s and 1920s to loose photograph prints from later years (1940s). Although most albums are bounded and contain deciptions for each photograph, there is a disbounded, almost scrapbook-like, album of small prints. Some letters to Louise K. Clement are even included, as well as some postcards. In the Sky Island album, there is even a printed report on European immigration to the region. All the photographs depict diverse images, from landscapes of Japan, China, and Swarthmore, to portraits of both foreigners and Americans.
