Biographical / Historical
Lansdowne Monthly Meeting (Hicksite) was established in 1901 by Concord Quarterly Meeting out of Darby Monthly Meeting. Lansdowne Monthly Meeting (Orthodox) was established in 1904 by Concord Quarterly Meeting out of Chester Monthly Meeting (Orthodox). In 1951, the Hicksite and Orthodox monthly meetings merged to form a united monthly meeting. In 1955, Lansdowne Monthly Meeting became part of the newly-formed Chester Quarterly Meeting. Lansdowne Monthly Meeting is currently an active monthly meeting.
