Biographical / Historical
Christopher Densmore retired in 2018 after seventeen years as Curator of the Friends Historical Library of Swarthmore College. Before coming to Swarthmore he worked at the State University of New York at Buffalo, serving as Acting Director of the University Archives (1995-98) and University Archivist (1998-2001). He earned his Master's in American History at the University of Wisconsin (1973) and a Bachelor's in History at Oberlin College (1971). Chris has served on the Board of Friends Historical Association, Vice President of the Pennsylvania Abolition Society, and Chair of the Canadian Friends Historical Association.
