Biographical / Historical
On March 23, 1911, Anna Pickering married Frank Maris under the care of Middletown Monthly Meeting. The wedding took place in the home of her parents, Edward and Rebecca Rowlett Pickering. Frank was a member of Lansdowne Monthly Meeting and owned a crane company in Philadelphia, Maris Bros. Cranes, where cranes were designed and built. Both the Maris and Pickering families trace their roots in the Philadelphia area back to the 17th century.
