Thomas Hallowell papers
Abstract
This collection includes correspondence and receipts of Thomas Hallowell. Included are a letter written to his wife and several written by Hugh Forbes, describing his religious travels. Also included is the arithmetic book of Sarah T. Parker, dated 1805.

Biographical / Historical
Thomas Hallowell was a birthright Quaker. The son of John and Elizabeth Hallowell, he was born in 1717 at Darby. In 1739 he married Ann Thomson. He was a member of Philadelphia Monthly Meeting at his death in 1788.
