William Reckitt papers
Abstract
This collection includes photographic copies of letters regarding his travels in the ministry, family birth certificates, and a list of ship stores. Also included is a letter from John Pemberton, relating family news and giving an account of the Philadelphia Yearly Meeting.

Biographical / Historical
William Reckitt was an English Quaker and travelling minister. Born in 1706, he was the son of Thomas Lea and Susannah Reckitt. He married Ellen Maw in 1731. His travels in ministry took him to Barbados and to America. He died in 1769.
