Abstract

This collection consists of copies of papers relating to Buckingham Monthly Meeting, handed down through the Watson family. Included are accounts of the meeting by John Watson (1740-1817) and by Samuel Preston written to John Watson (1774-1864). Also included are memorials of prominent members of Buckingham Monthly Meeting, the most extensive of which refer to Jacob Holcombe, John Scarbrough, Oliver Paxson, and Phebe Ely.

John Watson (1774-1864) was a Quaker and a member of Buckingham Monthly Meeting in Pennsylvania, along with his father, John Watson (1740-1817).
