This collection includes letters from Thomas Wetherald written to his family while he traveled in the ministry. Some of his letters concern Elias Hicks and the Hicksite controversy. Also included is a sermon of Thomas Wetherald.

Biographical / Historical

Thomas Wetherald was a Quaker minister who moved with his family from England to America in 1819. He eventually became a member of York Monthly Meeting of Friends.
