Abstract
Miscellaneous papers of Abraham Bonsall and his family, 1682-1918. Of note are the marriage intentions of Job Sinkler and Elizabeth Musgrave, 1771, colonial currency, 1756-1777, and a Bonsall family tree, no date.

Biographical / Historical
Abraham Bonsall was a Quaker born in 1717 to Jacob and Martha (Hood) Bonsall. He married Sarah Lewis in 1739, and a second time in 1767 to Mary Linde. He was a Clerk of Darby Monthly Meeting from 1750-1772 and served as an Elder.

Ownership and Custodial History
Originally given to the Friends Historical Library with papers of Darby Monthly Meeting of Friends in 1959 from the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission. The papers were discovered when cleaning out Hope Lodge, and the covers of the scrapbook were labelled "Ex Libris / William L. Degn / Hope Lodge, White, Penna." These Bonsall family papers were removed from the Darby Monthly Meeting records and catalogued separately.
