Biographical / Historical
Burlington-Bucks Young Friends Forum, a Quaker social and study group, was modeled after similar organizations in Philadelphia and elsewhere that were organized at the end of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. The Forum met alternately in Trenton, New Jersey, and Langhorne, Pennsylvania, inviting speakers to address topics of current interest such as peacetime conscription and Japanese-American relocation. They sponsored social gatherings and dances and coordinated with other Young Friends Associations. An on-going project was Camp Onas in upper Bucks County, a Quaker summer camp for children.
