Biographical / Historical

Benajah Lockwood was born in 1757 and served as a soldier in the American Revolution. His parents were Adam and Sarah (Straight) Lockwood and his siblings were: Ann, Sarah, Abraham, Hannah, Adam, Deborah, Almy, and Patience. Benajah married Abby Webb and their children included Thomas Lockwood.

George Greene was born in Warwick, Rhode Island in 1761 to Stephen Greene and Mercy Lockwood (1737-1790). Mercy's brother, Amos Lockwood, was born in 1727...
and died in 1806; he lived in Warwick throughout his life and was married to Mary Warner.
