Abstract
The AIDS Working Group of the Philadelphia Yearly Meeting began in 1992 as a response to the growing severity of the AIDS epidemic. The main focus of the group, organized under the title of "A Quaker Ministry to Persons With AIDS," was to visit those terminally ill with AIDS to provide solace, friendship, and spiritual counseling.
