Overview A general meeting for Friends in the Delaware Valley area was first convened at Burlington in 1681. The first general meeting held in Philadelphia was in 1683, and in 1685, it was agreed that the meetings in New Jersey and Pennsylvania should be combined into one yearly meeting with alternate sessions at Philadelphia and at Burlington. Scope and Contents This collection includes materials about IMYM activities from the 1970s to 2007. Most of the records pertain to their annual business sessions, such as minutes, programs, and correspondence. There are also documents pertaining to committees within the yearly meeting, and external organizations that IMYM partnered with such as American Friends Service Committee, Friends Committee on National Legislation, and Friends World Committee for Consultation.
