Abstract This is a mid-fifteenth-century Italian paper manuscript of Saint Ambrose's De fide ad gratianum augustum libri quinque, a defense of Christian orthodoxy. It is undecorated, and the blank spaces left for initials have not been filled in. There are a small number of annotations. Abstract This is an exceptionally interesting collection of texts by Saint Jerome, still in its original binding and signed and dated at numerous intervals by the scribe, Johannes Tyrolf, providing valuable evidence on how fast scribes wrote. Tyrolf signed at least five other manuscripts.
