Overview Calvin W. Schwabe (born in 1927) is a veterinarian and public health scientist. He married Gwendolyn Joyce Thompson (nicknamed "Tippy") in 1951. In 1954, the Schwabes joined the Society of Friends. From 1956 to 1966, Calvin Schwabe was a member of the medical and public health facilities of the American University of Beirut.
