Abstract The John Woolman Memorial Association was founded in 1915 by Amelia Mott Gummere. It operates out of a historic house in Mount Holly, New Jersey, where John Woolman's family lived, and where their apple orchard once existed. According to its by-laws, its purpose was "the preservation of John Woolman's house [...], for the purpose of social service in the spirit of John Woolman and for antiquarian interest."
