Scope and Content note This collection is comprised of the two volumes of the indexes of Augustine Jones. Jones' indexes were recorded in the "Index Rerum," created by John Todd, D.D., subtitled "Or, Index of Subjects, Intended as a Manual to aid the Student and the Professional man in Preparing himself for Usefulness. Scope and Content note

This collection is comprised of three volumes of an index created by Hannah M. Jones, given to her aunt, Mary Ann Jones. The indexes include the deaths and marriages of Quakers, copied from The Friend, and arranged alphabetically.

Abstract

This collection contains a topical and name index for "The Friend," a Philadelphia Quaker publication from 1827 to 1955.
