Collections of still photographic types, including paper prints, cased photographs, glass plates, and slides. Historically, when processing a collection, FHL staff have often removed the photographs from the manuscript portion (e.g. RG4 organizational records or RG5 family or personal papers) and stored them as an associated PA photographs collection. FHL staff have also assembled alphabetical files by topic, such as the Meetinghouse Picture File.

Overview This collection consists of six photograph albums and other loose photographs, most dating from approximately 1860-1890, from the Truman and Underhill families, Philadelphia-area Quaker families with close ties to Swarthmore College and active in social concerns.
