Schneider, Louis W.

The collection relates primarily to William Huntington, (1907-1990), a 20th century Quaker peace activist and the ship The Golden Rule which Huntington and others used to protest atomic testing in the South Pacific. Included are correspondence, photographs, conference papers, newspaper articles, memoranda, and minutes.

This is a collection of approximately 1500 color slides taken by American Friends Service Committee worker Louis W. Schneider during his international travels to Africa, Asia, and Europe in the mid 20th century.

Louis W. Schneider (1915-2012) worked for the American Friends Service Commiittee for more than four decades and served as Executive Secretary from 1974-1980. His Papers include notes, diaries, speeches, and writings, as well as publications by American Friends Services Committee.
