Louis W. Schneider color slides
Scope and Contents
This is a collection of approximately 1500 color (film) slides, with a small number of glass slides and photographic prints. Lou Schneider took the photographs during his international travels to various places in Africa, Asia, and Europe (as well as Honolulu). There are nature landscapes, pictures of city landmarks, snapshots of village life, and portraits of Schneider, his fellow American Friends Service Committee (AFSC) members, as well as miscellaneous people he met during his travels. Many of the slides are labeled as being associated with the AFSC. While most slides are labeled by country (and several by year as well), there are also many pages of unidentified locations.
