Scope and Contents
The front of this ledger book records the agreement of Haverford School shareholders in 1836 to relinquish the right to receive dividends on their shares. The back of the ledger lists subscribers to an effort in 1846-1847 to raise $50,000 for an endowment for the School to assist in its reopening after being closed following the summer term in 1845.
