There are four statements that appear to be part of a legal case labeled A, B, C, and E [D is referenced in a document titled "Amount of Monies & Goods to be accounted for by John Fullmer," but is not present in this file]. "A" is a list of losses sustained by John Fullmer, mostly related to goods sold. "B" is titled "Receipt Book shews following notes paid for goods purchased subsequent to July 1st" (July 1, 1821). "C" is titled "Receipt Book shews Cash paid for goods exclusive of Day Book entries" (starts July 3, 1821). "E" is titled "The following notes pr. John Fullmer's bill book are said to be for his accommodation since July 1, 1821." A document titled "Amount of Monies & Goods to be accounted for by John Fullmer" is drawn from the documents B-E. The total amount is over $29,000.

The other statements in this file were not assigned a letter but are titled "Goods Sold and Cash Paid pr John Fulmer as pr his Day Book," "Memorandum of Goods Purchased for notes and cash by John Fullmer from the 1st of May to 1st July 1821 taken from his Day & Receipt Book," and "Goods Bought By John Fullmer as pr his day Book exclusive of those for which notes were given as pr Statement B & cash rec'd by him."

The file also contains interrogatories and subpoenas. There is also a letter from Fullmer dated January 26, 1821, to his creditors who have not signed his release, in which he offers to pay off notes for $3000 over seven years without interest "in consideration of a letter of licence for seven years, and, provided the whole of you come into the measure here proposed." Finally, there is a letter dated January 25, 1822, to Moses B. Moody from S. Grant asking for a refund of $3.14 paid by Grants Store for advertising and calling the meeting of Fullmer's creditors.
