Superintendent's accounts day book, 1849-1853
Scope and Contents
This ledger tracks receipts (revenue) and payments (expenses) in detail from June 15, 1849 to November 30, 1853. Most of the receipts are from board and tuition and stationery, although there are several entries related to farm products sold. Expenses appear in the following categories: salaries and wages, school house and grounds, provisions, stock and implements, incidentals, stationery, furniture, fuel and light, library and apparatus, farm, and observatory.
