Scope and Contents
This file contains an assortment of shipping papers, including invoices, accounts of sales, and inventories, pertaining to Samuel B. Morris's trade operations from 1809 to 1821. These materials indicate that Morris was buying and selling goods in Portugal, Tenerife, Antigua, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, and Cuba as well as various ports along the eastern seaboard of the United States. Some of the accounts relate to the merchants and mercantile firms represented in the "Incoming mercantile correspondence" subseries.
