Samuel B. Morris guardianship of Feinour children, 1834-1842

This file contains financial and legal documents pertaining to Samuel B. Morris's guardianship of the children of George Feinour. It includes a 1834 petition from Catharine Feinour and George Thompson Feinour for Samuel B. Morris to be their guardian and for Ann Morris, widow of Luke Morris, to act as surety. There are also materials related to partitioning the Feinour real estate and executing a bond between guardian and wards, settling stock for the benefit of the Feinour children, and meeting with an auditor of the Feinour children's accounts. There is an account book in a brown paper wrapper that includes Alice Feinour's accounts with Samuel B. Morris from June 30, 1834, to January 28, 1842. The account book indicates that Alice Feinour studied at Elizabeth Watson's school in Hartford, Connecticut. There are several bills related to Catharine Feinour, including bills for tailoring and dental work. Finally, there is a bill for boarding Catharine, Alice, and George Thompson Feinour.
