Haverford School Association Journal, 1834-1848

 Item — Volume: 115

Scope and Contents

This journal is a companion to the Haverford School Association ledger, April 1834 - May 1848 (Volume 130). Unlike the ledger, this journal provides both a balance sheet and an income/expense statement for most of the years covered. Both volumes use the following chart of accounts of capital and income/expense accounts: stock, capital stock, donations and bequests, cash in hand, profit and loss, interest expense, board and tuition, salaries and wages, provisions, fuel and lights, incidentals, loans, farm, school house and grounds, furniture, library and apparatus, stationery, bills receivable, farm stock, suspense account, public securities (lot on James Street), and rent of farm.
